Videos are dynamic and versatile, and they can definitely speed up a sales process. Regardless of what is being sold, videos are often the next best thing to a first hand experience. Videos can save time, help avoid inconveniences, and sometimes even practically make sales themselves.
How videos can be used to sell real estate
We recently bought a new home. Since buying a new home is such a life changing event, we wanted to take the time necessary to find one we thought our entire family would love. Fortunately, after looking around for only a short time, we found one we decided to buy. It was at that time when a video would have been super helpful. Even after making our decision, we went back through the property four times to make sure we were sure. Every time we went back through it, the current owners loaded up their kids and went somewhere else for awhile. Had there been a video focusing on the perspective of a potential buyer detailing the property more than what was available on the MLS website, most of that could have been avoided.
It is common for buyers to go through a house multiple times and have a professional home inspection done before closing as a way to prevent buyer’s remorse. In hindsight, had one of the real estate agents provided us with a USB flash drive or video brochure with a video of the property, the entire buying process would have been improved. Not that it was bad. It just would have been better. For example, instead of going back to take another look at the unfinished basement, we could have simply watched the video to remind us how the space was structured when discussing possible floor plans to finish it.
Share videos on USB flash drives, video brochures, or DVDs
Selling real estate can be a lucrative profession. To sell more properties faster, sharing videos on USB flash drives, video brochures, or DVDs is a technique that can help agents please their clients.
Actually, regardless of what is being sold, videos can help products and services sell faster and more often. Consumers are attracted to videos and reportedly believe companies who use videos know better how to connect with them.
As an added benefit, the exterior of USB flash drives and print packaging of video brochures and DVDs can be customized. That provides even more opportunities to advertise and increase brand awareness.
Make more sales with videos
For salespeople, having state-of-the-art sales tools with videos to share helps them feel more confident and relaxed. With them, they can also talk less and listen more, which potential buyers usually appreciate.
For companies, videos allow them to maintain control over how their brand is presented. Giving away USB flash drives or sharing video brochures or DVDs can boost a company’s image. Also, videos engage more senses in viewers and allow companies to sell without salespeople having be involved throughout the entire process. Furthermore, research has revealed humans remember up to 65% more when audio and visual are combined. Traditional forms of print advertising and audio messages do not make the same impact as videos.

Having owned an advertising magazine in Utah, I’ve worked in marketing for over twenty years.
I started writing for MediaFast in 2014. The first time I held one of their video brochures, I thought something like, “Wow! This blows away our magazine and any other print advertising I’ve ever seen. This is like a TV commercial, and I’m holding it in my hands. Amazing!”
Since then, video brochures, video mailers and video boxes have become leaders in marketing performance. It’s a privilege to write about them. I also love MediaFast—with its top-notch product quality, industry leading customer service, and all of the wonderful people I get to work with.
