Watch: Why Video Point of Purchase Displays Work So Well

Bill Diaz, VP of Sales for MediaFast, explains why Point of Purchase Displays with videos work so well.

If you’re a retail store owner or manager, have you considered using one of these?

Or, if you’re a manufacturer and you just wish retail sales reps would do a better job of explaining your products to consumers, are you aware that videos in POP Displays will do that for you? Yes, they will…because it’ll be your videos they’ll be watching.

Anyway, rather than me going on explaining in writing, here’s Bill Diaz doing a much better job in video… Aren’t videos more fun and interesting anyway? Yes, without a doubt…at least to most people.

Bill Diaz Explains Why Video POP Displays Work So Well

If you’re like most people, you’ve grown to appreciate videos more and more through the years.

I mean, don’t you think they’re ideal for teaching and learning? And how about when it comes to making purchasing decisions? Haven’t they become increasingly relied upon for that too? Again—yes, without a doubt.

Likewise, consumers appreciate them in retail settings. True, they can use their cell phones and do research from just about anywhere. However, when videos are provided for them exactly in the same places they’re already looking to make purchases, that’s even more convenient.

Okay, enough from me. Now I’ll let Bill explain the rest…

Videos From Manufacturers Are The Best Source

Here’s a rhetorical question: When you’re shopping, how likely are you to ask store employees questions about things you’re considering buying?

Also, how likely are you to use your cell phone to look up information?

As you probably know, that’s extremely common nowadays. Since our cell phones can access the internet pretty much anytime from anywhere, information is right at our fingertips. Because of it, online reviews and product descriptions are easy to find, and super helpful. And so are videos…

With that in mind, engineers figuring out how to give shoppers what they want instantly while in stores has been brilliant. Not only do shoppers appreciate the convenience, but they also appreciate the information coming from manufacturers and other consumers in reviews.

So, here’s the next question: How likely are you to trust a store clerk over a video from a manufacturer? Not that store clerks are dishonest or completely unreliable. However, being realistic, manufacturers usually know how to explain their products better than most retail salespeople. They’re also more knowledgeable, and their expertise is critical to their success.

At the same time, reviews from other consumers are just as helpful—if not more—and they make a huge impact, right? I know I rely on them heavily, and I know many others who do the same… And when I can watch videos to learn about products, services or opportunities, I like them even more.

To engage shoppers in retail stores, Point of Purchase Displays with videos provide an excellent strategy.

Why? Because consumers tend to trust what they see and hear from manufacturers more than what salespeople tell them. Also, when they can watch testimonials from other consumers, that feels trustworthy and accommodating.

With that said, at MediaFast, we completely understand how a well designed POP Display can significantly boost sales. Likewise, when video content is added, they’re even more effective.

Also, we only use brand new, Grade A components to make everything we sell. That ensures the best quality and goes hand-in-hand with one of our main objectives, which is that customer satisfaction is our highest priority.
