Video brochures get described in a lot of different ways, but what exactly is a video brochure? Interestingly, a lot of people don’t even know what to call them… More on that in a bit.
In the meantime, here are answers to questions about them.
Basically, if you’d like to know what other names they’re commonly called, we’ll cover that. If you’d like to know what they do, we’ll cover that. If you’d like to know why they’re extremely effective, we’ll cover that. Or, if you’d like to know how much they cost, we’ll cover that too.
Briefly Describing Video Brochures
Knowing you’d probably rather watch a video than read a lot about them, here are 2 short clips explaining aspects about video brochures and video mailers.
Presenting is Amy Hafen, Owner and President of MediaFast. Afterwards, more detailed information is given below.
Video Brochure Aliases
In case you’ve heard them called by different names, it’s understandable they get called various things. After all, most of the terminology people have come up with to describe them makes a lot of sense.
For instance, sometimes people call them multimedia brochures, video pamphlets, video books, or video in print. At other times, they call them video cards, video mailers, or direct mail video players.
However, before going on more, aren’t you curious to know why there are so many different names for them?
If yes, here’s the answer: You know those times when you’re trying to learn information online but just aren’t sure what to call something? Yeah, we’ve all been there. Well, in those moments, what tends to happen is people make up a term or phrase that sounds good and just hope Google knows what they want, right?
Essentially, that’s what happened with video brochures. Then Google decided some of those names should actually exist, so they do.
Anyway, here’s a brief list of other names video brochures sometimes get called:
- Video Cards
- Video Books
- Video Pamphlets
- Video Flyers
- Video Mailers
- Video Presentation Players
- Multimedia Brochures
- Multimedia Mailers
- Screen In Print
- Video Business Cards
- Video In Brochures
- Direct Mail Videos
- Video Message Brochures
- Electronic Brochures
Then there are other terms typically associated with them, such as LCD, LED, IPS and Digital.
And, just to clarify a little more, the difference between a video brochure and a video mailer is simply how they’re delivered. Specifically, video brochures get hand-delivered or dropped off while video mailers get mailed to targeted prospects. That’s why they’re ideal for engaging hard-to-reach decision-makers, and they rarely ever get ignored or set aside because they’re so interesting.
Video Brochure Examples
To show examples, here are video brochures we’ve created for clients. Notice the high-quality print included on the panels, the various sizes, and the customization of each piece.
Yes, customization is encouraged, but we do have design templates for our clients to simplify the entire design process. We’re also interactive and helpful throughout each project, so our clients are never left to just figure things out on their own.

What Video Brochures Do
Alright, now that you’re more familiar with them, here’s what video brochures do.
As an LCD screen embedded into a custom-printed paper wrap, video brochures can be customized in a variety of sizes—from small business cards to large portfolio books. They’re also available in both soft and hardcover varieties, and there are several different screen sizes available.
Their purpose is to get influential videos watched by targeted prospects. They can be hand-delivered or mailed, and even hard-to-reach decision-makers find them too interesting to ignore. Afterwards, recipients respond more often than not, and we’ve seen response rates as high as 66%. What other marketing media can claim that?
At the same time, based on feedback from our clients, even recipients who don’t respond right after receiving a video brochure usually respond friendly and favorably during follow-up.
And finally, by delivering a powerful combination of audio, video and print, video brochures engage target audiences in ways that traditional marketing strategies simply cannot. Because they’re so much more effective, they blow away PPC, print marketing, and email campaigns. Likewise, ROI with them is fantastic.
With that said, ways companies use them successfully are for sales, marketing, fundraising, recruiting, training, brand exposure, and educating employees and consumers.
Why Video Brochures Are Extremely Effective
As a business owner, salesperson or marketer, you’re probably well aware that video marketing is the #1 strategy in today’s world.
Granted, videos can say more in less time than print and/or audio by combining images with sound and motion. Videos also feel more trustworthy. Plus, they have a way of creating connections between presenters and viewers, or companies and consumers.
Having said that, you may already know that the biggest challenge companies face with video marketing is getting the right people to watch their videos. It simply isn’t enough to post them on websites or social media and then hope your target audience finds them.
So, if that isn’t good enough, what’s the solution?
Well, as we’ve discovered over the past decade or so with video marketing products, it’s distributing them directly to targeted prospects.
Why? Because video brochures are naturally too interesting to ignore. They usually get shared by decision-makers with others who influence their purchasing decisions, and recipients actually enjoy them.
Plus, they increase the perceived value of products, services and opportunities while making messages more memorable. Then, when someone wants or needs whatever a company sells, they’re typically who they remember right away.
Rhetorically, isn’t that one of the main goals of marketing?

Get Industry-Leading Video Brochures From MediaFast
If you’re wondering why ours are referred to as industry-leading, here’s why:
We only use brand new, Grade A components to make them, ensuring the best reliability.
We also don’t lock video content on our products so our clients can update them whenever they want. Even though most of our competitors do, we simply don’t think that’s fair. Instead, it’s only right for them to be able to update and reuse them whenever they want, and it also prevents them from having to purchase new ones as often.
On top of that, we operate with a consultant-style, white-glove approach, which means we keep ourselves available for interactions as much as our clients would like. That’s the case from start to finish.
And last but not least, customer satisfaction is our highest priority. For instance, here’s a recent Google review from Lauren Thompson, one of our clients.
“I cannot say enough good things about MediaFast! Whether it was overnighting samples or jumping on a call at the last minute, Bill and Andrea graciously catered to every need and request. The card and brochure exceed every expectation!”

Having owned Villager Magazine in Utah, I’ve worked in marketing for over twenty years.
I started writing for MediaFast in 2014, and the first time I held a Video Brochure, I instantly thought something like, “This blows away our magazine…and any other print advertising I’ve ever known. It’s like I’m holding a TV commercial in my hands. These things are amazing!”
Since then, Video Brochures, Video Mailers and Video Boxes have become marketing superstars. Writing about them is definitely a privilege, and with regards to MediaFast—with its industry-leading product quality, outstanding customer service, and phenomenal associates—I feel like I couldn’t have picked a better group of people to work with.
